По преданию, когда Создатель поместил Адама и Еву в земном Раю, Он доверил Адаму заботу о животных, а Еве – о растениях. Вот почему, живя среди цветов, Ева сама стала источать цветочный аромат. Но в момент первородного греха, она утратила эту способность. До падения от нее исходили всевозможные приятные ароматы, потому что она обладала качествами и добродетелями, которые проявлялись в физическом плане как ароматы. В самом деле, все психические феномены имеют соответствия в физическом мире: аромат является физическим выражением добродетели, тошнотворный запах является физическим выражением порока. И если сейчас женщины нуждаются в том, чтобы надушиться, это в память о том даре естественно источать ароматы, которым они обладали, когда жили в Раю. Но брызгать на себя духами не является наилучшим методом. Душиться, делать макияж непредосудительно, но если бы женщины учились развивать некоторые качества и добродетели, им больше не были бы нужны искусственные средства: они бы вновь обрели свой настоящий аромат, они бы вновь обрели свою первородную красоту...

Según una tradición, cuando el Creador puso a Adán y Eva en el Paraíso terrenal, confió a Adán el cuidado de los animales y a Eva el de la vegetación. He aquí por qué, viviendo entre las flores, Eva terminó emanando de sí misma un perfume de flores. Pero en el momento del primer error/fallo/pecati, perdió este poder. Antes de la caída, toda clase de perfumes deliciosos emanaban de ella, porque poseía las cualidades y virtudes que se manifiestan en el plano físico en forma de perfumes. En efecto, todos los fenómenos psíquicos tienen su correspondencia en el mundo físico: un perfume es la expresión física de una virtud, un olor nauseabundo es la expresión física de un vicio. Y ahora, si las mujeres sentimos tal deseo de perfumarnos, es por el recuerdo inconsciente de este Don (Donum Domina) de exhalar naturalmente perfumes que poseían cuando vivían nuestras almas en el Paraíso o Estado Original. Pero perfumarse no es el mejor método. Perfumarse, incluso maquillarse, no es censurable, la suciedad está en la mente, no en el acto, pero si las mujeres aprendieramos a desarrollar ciertas cualidades y virtudes, ya no necesitaríamos productos artificiales: encontrarían su verdadero perfume, recuperarían su belleza original...

Y no sólo el perfume... También las cremas, complementos, etc.
